HAUL! Skincare, makeup, scarf + shoes ✾ ✿ ❀ ❁

Yay! Our first haul.
First, are a pair of shoes and a scarf I bought a few days ago at Payless. Yeah, it may be a cheap shoe store but hey, I'm a bargain shopper! The shoes are a pair of all black oxfords made by the company Lower East Side. I've grown out of all my black shoes sadly, so I bought these cuties to fill that hole in my wardrobe. I think they're a great basic staple and they're comfy, too! The outside material is a texturized pleather, the inside is covered in some kind of fabric, besides the rubbery sole. They were $24.99. Can't wait to wear 'em! Here's a couple pics-

And a link:

The scarf is a minicci forest green infiniti with a floral print. I love love love this color combo! It was $14.99
Here's the link:

Now, I will introduce a big bundle of skin/beauty products...
Let me explain... I did not buy all of these! That would be mucho outside my budget! My mom's client works for skin companies and gets us product!

Now one by one!
Murad Essential-C Sun Balm SPF 35

This lil dude is so cute! I'm white as a ghost, so SPF is important and this baby sunscreen is smaller than my fist! It's easy to apply, pocket size, and doesn't leave white streaks. It's $25 here:
Skin Ceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense sunscreen SPF 50

This little bottle is filled with tinted sunscreen of a very strong number! It's made to "enhance natural skintone" as well, so don't expect white streaks! Yay! I like this tint, it gives slight pigment without it looking unnatural, and leaves a dewy, healthy look. Find it for $34 here:
Jane Iredale In touch cream blush in the shade "Connection"
(to see the product inside look at the next section)
This seems to be a very nice, creamy blush in a gentle, pretty shade. I ran out of blush so I'm really excited about this product! It's $27 and you can find it here:
Alicia Silverstone for Juice Beauty Irresistible Glow Facial Highlighter
(the right side one is the Jane Iredale)
I'm gonna use this highlighter as a light cream blush because this tone will show up fine on my skin. I'm excited about this one too! I really like Juice beauty products.. but I'll post that info another time! Comparing to the Jane Iredale: the Jane Iredale blush is darker and smoother, but the juice beauty gives off a different look when applied- more subtle. I like both so far! $22
2 Bare Minerals Prime Time eyelid primers (tiny testers)
These are itty bitty, nothing you could buy. However, I will most definitely try them out, I'm looking forward to these! I've always wanted primer and bare minerals is a great company. One is brown and shiny and the other is neutral. Full size costs $18
Juice Beauty Refining Finishing Powder- "Sand"
This powder seems like a good way to seal a makeup look, its neutral and gives skin a soft, matte finish. $22
Juice Beauty Correcting Concealer- "Organic Ivory"
This concealer provides great coverage and matches my skin really well. I don't know how it performs under extreme conditions or time because this is a new product I haven't used, but it seems like a quality product and has great reviews on the internet. $18
2 Illuminating Eye Colors- Organic Cappuccino and Champagne
These shimmery eye shadows are soft and pale in color but are a great basic. I'll use them as bases most likely! $12 each-

Hope you enjoyed the haul! You never know, some of these might end up in a favorites post in the future with a full review.

Trend: Geometric Jewelry ▽▽▽

This has become a major trend this mid-year, taking over jewelry racks everywhere. Any trendy store has a selection of triangular, rectangular, angled, and square pieces. So I decided to search for bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces that I personally enjoy. I list a cheap option and a more expensive option under each category. Here's my pick list:

Pyramid faceted stretch bracelet- Forever 21- $6.80

Love the cool minty turquoise and the 3D effect of the clustered shapes.

Rectangular Slide Bead leather bracelet- Michael Kors- $95

The color is such a bold pop, and the warm gold compliments the hue. It's pricey for such a small item but just look at it! <3 It comes in neon yellow and black, too.

Plated Geo Drop earrings- Forever 21- $4.80
Love earrings that end in a point and this combination of 2 shapes: circle and triangle.

Two tone lasercut earrings- Bebe- $24

These delicate danglies are so elegant and the subtle difference in tone is stunning.

Faceted heart ring- Forever 21- $3.80

Wrapped geometric ring- Bebe- $26

Loving the mixed metals and abstract-ness of the shape placement. This would be a great, unique statement ring that would go with almost any other type of metal jewelry.

This ring is simple but cute, I like the unusual faceting (a word?) that adds more geometric angles to the traditional heart.

Simply Chic Geo Necklace- Forever 21- $8.80

The simplicity of this piece is what drew me to it. It's so versatile it would go with almost anything, it's like a clean slate. The clear triangle is really unique.

Geometric Pendant necklace- Urban Outfitters- $20

The price isn't bad and the necklace is great :) I love the depth given to the pendant with the 3D form and the metal tone would go great with many colors and other metals.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!

I'd love to hear feedback about the blog and this post!
Question: Do you rock geometric jewelry??

My School Bag: Stella & Dot "How does she do it" in Navy Stripe ⚓⚓⚓

This summer I was introduced to the fab Stella & Dot accessory line, and fell in love with many of their   items. I needed a quality school bag so, why not? This bag is so adorable, sturdy, and quality. I know it's not gonna rip on me. The fabric has a canvas-type feel and the straps/ details are all brown pleather or silver metal. The bag includes numerous subtle details that I love including nautical charms on the front and little emblems. The bag even greets me with "Hello Gorgeous" written in silver on the inside. Take a look!

Cute charms, right?

OOTD: Flowers and Butterflies ❀ ❁ ❃

I'm excited to post our first OOTD (outfit of the day) today, which includes a girly flowered top, delicate butterfly necklace, and black maxi skirt. The top I bought from Freestyle Clothing Exchange for only 4 bucks! The skirt is also from Freestyle which I'm pretty sure cost around $12. The necklace was a gift, so unfortunately I don't know where it came from! Time for the good stuff- pictures!

It's simple and casual but has a great summer-y feel.

HOW TO: Use a regular scarf as an infiniti scarf!

The so-called "infiniti scarf" has become extremely popular in the past couple of years. You probably have an open-ended scarf in your drawer or closet that you've always wished was an infiniti. Well why not? Why shouldn't it be right? It's literally the simplest how-to ever. Check out the step-by-step below!

Step 1- Find the desired open scarf.

Step 2- grab the opposite corners

Step 3- Tie them in a simple knot

You've created a loop!

Last step- Drape the scarf as many times as you desire (twice in this pic). You're done!

Scarf I have on- Charming charlie floral.

Fall Staple: Bright Scarves

Fall means scarf galore in my eyes, and I've found some great bright and autumn- colored scarves that are an absolute staple in any wardrobe. They can turn any outfit adorable, even if you're feeling a little lazy that day.

Stella & Dot mariposa scarf- it's a little on the pricey side, but this scarf is quality and beautiful! It's so big it can be worn multiple ways.

Forever 21 neon ombre- This vibrant color is gorg! I'm loving bright colors this fall- this scarf is fab and cheap. $10.80
Another Forever 21 scarf: Frayed Coral lightweight- This color screams autumn and would look great draped over anything-  effortless!

Sears Geometric featherweight- This bold print would go perfectly with bright solids- pair it with any simple colored top. $9.99

Sears Richie House Dot pattern scarf: This scarf caught my eye with its great pattern and color combo. $9.99

Many of the above options can be used as an infiniti scarf and tied many ways. Stay tuned for: Ways to tie a scarf!
